Making Caring Visible and Valued’

Carers Week is an annual awareness campaign that celebrates and recognises the vital contribution of the UK’s unpaid carers – supporting family members and friends who are older, have a disability, mental or physical illness or need extra help as they grow older.

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council is committed to supporting unpaid carers and to celebrate all the great work that you do.

After a challenging year for us all we would particularly like to thank you for all that you do, unpaid carers provide a vital role in supporting this country’s health and social care systems and we are internally grateful to you all, each and every one of you.

If you would like to have a Carers Assessment completed or receive information and advice around your caring role, please don’t hesitate to contact The Carers Support Team on 01495 315700 or alternatively contact your GP Surgery and ask the receptionist to refer you through to our GP Carers Engagement Service who offers FREE confidential information and advice.
