Hearing Clearly Better

Audiology Associates are a family run business in the heart of Ebbw Vale town who are approaching their tenth year in business. They offer a full hearing provision including hearing tests, hearing aids and ear wax removal.

The company felt they were hidden from the high street, as they were situated behind a shop front, but thanks to the additional financial support of a Blaenau Gwent Business Development Grant of £23,788 they have created a modern, bright, spacious reception area with additional treatment rooms and new equipment.

Leah Morris-Barber, Clinical Director and Co-Owner said, ‘The development embodies our ethos of placing the customers at the heart of our operations.’

‘Our multi award winning team, treat each patient as an individual, offering a personalised experience in aural care. We use the latest technology to ensure attentive care for optimal hearing outcomes. From the outset a patients journey with us, to a lifetime of aftercare, our service standards remain unwavering.’

‘The grant allowed us to push a little further with our existing expansion plans.  It assisted in our project outcome being delivered to a wonderful standard.  We have expanded our Ebbw Vale clinic considerably, with an addition of a larger street front reception and further clinical rooms.  We are approaching our 10th year in business and are no longer “hidden” behind the high street.’

‘We specialise in endoscopic ear wax removal and our facilities host soundproof testing which the grant also played a part in, keeping our standards to the highest clinical excellence and safe delivery of aural care.’

‘We are thrilled that BGCBC are offering this provision to existing businesses within Blaenau Gwent, it really can assist in aiding them to reach their full potential.’

Councillor John Morgan, Cabinet Member - Place & Regeneration and Economic Development said, ‘Audiology Associates are an multi- award winning, local company on the high street, offering a much-needed service in our community. It is good to hear how our grant has helped them to enhance and improve the service they offer and cement them in the heart of Ebbw Vale. I would like to congratulate them on their 10-year anniversary and wish them future success.’

The Blaenau Gwent Business Development Grant is funded by UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund and managed by the Business & Innovation Team at Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council.  The Business Development Grant aims to support the growth and development of new and existing businesses in Blaenau Gwent.
