Customer Services
C2BG (the Council’s Contact Centre) will close at 5pm on Thursday, 24th December 2020 and will re-open at 8am on Monday, 4th January 2021.
The Emergency out-of-hours service can be contacted on the usual number of 01495 311556 during this period. The Piper Alarm service will also continue to operate. Enquiries regarding Piper lifeline alarms out of office hours should be directed to 0845 056 8035.
Social Services Duty Team
The Duty Team Office will be closed from 12noon on Thursday, 24th December 2020 and will re-open on Monday, 4th January 2021 at 9am.
During the Christmas period please contact the Emergency Duty Team for Social Services on 0800 328 44 32.

Cash Desk and Payments
The Civic Centre and Cash Desk remains closed. For anyone wishing to make a payment the 24-hour automated payment line is available on 0845 604 2635 or payments can be made via the Blaenau Gwent website – www.blaenau-gwent.gov.uk
Community Options
This service will be unavailable as of Thursday, 24th December and will re-open on Monday, 4th January 2021.
Community Meals
Community Meals will be delivered as normal on Thursday, 24th December and will be closed from the 25th to 28th December. Delivery as normal on the 29th/30th/31st, and closed from 1st January to 4th January. Frozen meals will be provided on the days closure days.
Recycling and Refuse Collections
Collections will be two days late during the Christmas period this year. If your collection day falls on:
● Friday, 25th December 2020 it will be collected on Sunday 27th December 2020;
Collections will be one day late during the New Year period. If your collection day falls on:
● Friday, 1st January 2021 it will be collected on Saturday 2nd January 2021;
From Monday, 4th January 2021 collections will return to normal.
