The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF or the Fund) is a central pillar of the UK government’s ambitious Levelling Up agenda and a significant component of its support for places across the UK.
The grant is under the People and Skills provision and has two principal aims: employment support for economically inactive people (benefit and non-benefit claimants) and funding skills provision to provide people with the skills needed to progress in life and work, including supporting local areas to fund local skills needs.
This grant is particularly targeting the following SPF interventions:
W40: Green skills courses targeted around ensuring we have the skilled workforce to achieve the government's net zero and wider environmental ambitions.
W41: Retraining and upskilling support for those in high carbon sectors, with a particular focus on transitioning to green, and Industry 4.0 and 5.0 jobs.
Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council invite organisations to apply for funding to support the Council’s delivery of the UKSPF objectives.
Closing date for applications is: 28th February 2024
