All Welsh Local Authorities must complete a Panel Performance Assessment to assess their performance in accordance with the Local Government and Elections (Wales) Act 2021 once every five years.
Blaenau Gwent Council undertook the assessment in November 2024 which was led by a Panel from across the UK including an independent chair, a senior Local Government Officer and an Elected Member from a different Welsh Local Authority, alongside two peers from the wider public, private, and voluntary sector.
The Act places a duty to publish the final PPA report, our response and Action Plan responding to the recommendations.
