BG Arts is the new Arts Development Service that aims to support, promote and celebrate the arts in Blaenau Gwent.
We hope to work with residents, artists and partners to create a vibrant, imaginative and ambitious arts sector in the borough.
We will achieve this by:
- Increasing access to the arts – making sure that the arts are available for everyone
- Promoting arts opportunities that already exist in the borough and offering support to the groups that deliver them
- Extending the range of arts experiences on offer and creating opportunities to try new things
- Developing a Creative Network for Blaenau Gwent that supports artists at all stages of their career
- Offering opportunities to build arts skills and access training - enabling people to reach their creative potential
- Promoting the ability of the arts to bring people together to build safe, welcoming and prosperous communities
- Highlighting the value of the arts by demonstrating the impact they have in areas such as economic development, health, wellbeing and education.
