If you no longer live alone, you must tell us. This helps make sure your Council Tax bill is right.
When to cancel
Cancel your discount if:
- Someone has moved in with you
- A previous resident has come back
- You do not live alone anymore
What you need to tell us
You will need:
- Your name and address
- Your Council Tax account number (on your bill)
- The date the change happened
- The name and previous address of the person who moved in
- Your phone number and email address
Important
Tell us as soon as possible so that you are paying the correct amount.
You could still get a discount if the person who moved in is a student or doesn’t need to pay council tax.
