The second Blaenau Gwent Council ‘Deal Village’ will be at Play Day at Bedwellty Park, Tredegar – bringing a range of council services together to show how we are working to improve people’s lives and the local area. Join us in the park on Wednesday, 5th August 2026.
People can find out how the Council and its partners are working to improve people's lives across the borough, and how they themselves can get involved in their community.
There will also be an opportunity to find out about the latest Aspire apprenticeship opportunities.
Plus, fun activities will be provided.
Councillor Steve Thomas, Leader of Blaenau Gwent Council, said:
"The Deal Village will help to bring our new way of working with communities to life for people. Our dedicated teams, partners and local community groups will be on hand to speak to residents about the work we do and provide inspiration and advice on how they themselves can work with us to make a positive change to where they live.
"We’re also using the day to help launch our new consultation platform, Get Involved Blaenau Gwent, where people can have a say on local projects, take part in consultations and surveys, and help to shape the future of their community.”
