Go Wild 2018

The event organised by Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, is being held during Wales Nature Week which is about connecting people with nature.

This year’s theme is ‘Eco Friendly Futures’, the aim is to raise awareness on how to be  more environmentally friendly, and discover ways of being more sustainable for the future, whilst learning about what we can do for nature and what nature can do for us.

Go Wild is being sponsored by the A465 contractors; Costain, RPS, CAN, PHI Group along with Gwent Wildlife Trust, Public Service Board and Natural Resources Wales.

This event is completely free and promises lots to see and do for all the family. You can meet wild animals such as owls, hedgehogs, butterflies and moths.

Find out what it’s like to be a bee keeper by getting up close with honey bees in the Bee Tent Experience. Pop along to the colourful recycled plastic bottle flower display, created by the school children of Blaenau Gwent. Discover lots of nature activities such as guided walks, seed bombing and eco craft activities.

Come and join us for a fun packed GO WILD DAY OUT and discover nature together!
