BG Effect Fund supports Menu4Life

The Blaenau Gwent CBC Economic Development Team has been working closely with the Directors of a newly formed company, Menu 4 Life, to help take their business into the marketplace.

This support has included, business planning and forecasting, help with securing start up grant funding, assistance with marketing and advertising as well as help with exposure to a wide network of potential new clients. Additionally the BG Effect fund grant has proved invaluable and the Directors have praised the Economic Development Team for all the one-to-one help received, which has made all the difference in their transition to self-employment.

Although Menu 4 Life is a newly formed company, the directors collectively have over 50 years' experience in the field of delivering holistic, non-medical, preventative services, covering emotional, physical and nutritional well-being. The newly formed consultancy will work with schools, community groups and a wide range of organisations in both private and public sector, to support the local community. Their programs will include both train the trainer and the commissioning of direct delivery services.

The Directors of Menu 4 Life CIC would like to thank Sarah Jeremiah and the team at Blaenau Gwent Effect in helping them with the planning and launch of their new consultancy.  Without this support, they felt that they would not have been as well prepared and confident in launching their business.

Cllr Dai Davies, Executive Member for Regeneration and Economic Development at Blaenau Gwent Council said:

“I am delighted to be told about the launch of Menu 4 Life and wish their business all they very best for the future. Our Economic Development Team provides support to those wishing to start up their own business and it is very pleasing to hear of their dedication, professionalism and commitment in providing all the help required to get this new business started.”

Support from the BG Effect Fund has been made available for 14 start-up businesses in Blaenau Gwent, since its introduction in November 2017, and is administered by Blaenau Gwent CBC.
