BG Effect Fund Assists Property Management Start Up Business

Reoli Ltd has recently benefitted from a BG Effect Business grant which has enabled the purchase of start-up items to launch the business into the property management market.

Reoli which in Welsh translates to “Manage” is a new way for landlords to manage their properties, tenancies and rent collection using the cloud. With a mobile first approach, the web based platform allows landlords to upload documents, message tenants, produce reports, collect rent and more, and save landlords money on rental agent fees in the process.

Complete with a tenant dashboard and a direct link with cloud accounting platform QuickFile, landlords are no longer faced with the administrative burden or costs associated with a self-managed property portfolio.

Jemma Morgan and Mathew Parker, co-founders of Reoli Ltd noticed a potential gap in this market and initially attended a Business Drop in session at Tredegar library to outline their start up proposals.

Jemma who is managing the daily administration of the business said:

“Thanks to the BG Effect Business Fund, we have everything we need to get Reoli off the ground; from vital equipment needed to run our platform, to professional marketing resources. The process was easy and quick, and we can now move forward on a very promising venture”.

Reoli Ltd received a grant of £700 from the BG Effect Fund Scheme which was used to purchase a laptop, server and marketing material.  The BG Effect Fund was launched last November at the BG Effect Network event and is administered by Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council to specifically target those wishing to start up their own business.

Anyone thinking of starting up their own business can attend one of the weekly business drop in sessions that are held in libraries around the borough or contact the Economic Development Unit directly on 01495 355700 for more details.

Cllr Dai Davies, Executive Member for Regeneration and Economic Development from Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council said:

“I am pleased that Reoli Ltd has been awarded a BG Effect Business Grant.  This grant has assisted them in developing and launching their business idea, therefore retaining skills and encouraging economic growth in the area. I wish them every success.  I encourage businesses whether you have a potential idea or you are a start-up or existing business to visit one of our sessions to see how our Economic Development team can help you.  Details can be found on the Council’s website or by contacting the team.”
