Book a collection

Booking a bulky waste collection is quick and easy through the My Services customer portal.

  • You can pay by debit or credit card
  • Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a receipt with your collection date

Where to leave your items

Please leave your items at your usual recycling collection point by 7am on the day of collection.

Top tip: Make sure your items are easy to access and clearly visible.

Please note:

  • Items must be at this collection point or we won’t be able to collect them
  • We’re unable to offer assisted collections for bulky waste
  • This service is for residential households only

What we can collect

We’ll collect large household items that don’t fit in your bin, such as:

  • Fridges and fridge freezers
  • TVs
  • Mattresses
  • Chairs

Some items cost a bit more:

  • American-style fridge/freezer: £28.40
  • Roll of carpet: £21.30
  • 6 x 4 shed: £21.30

You’ll see the full price clearly while booking.

What we can’t collect

We’re not able to take:

  • DIY or building waste (like rubble, soil, sand, cement)
  • Loose timber or paint

We also can’t collect from business or trade premises, including schools.

Other ways to get rid of items

If collection isn’t right for you, you can:

A few things to keep in mind

  • Once you’ve booked, you won’t be able to make changes
  • We’ll only collect the items you’ve told us about
  • Any extra items left out won’t be taken
  • If something unexpected happens (like bad weather), we’ll contact you and aim to collect as soon as possible

Cancellations and refunds

  • Cancel before 3pm the day before collection to receive a full refund
  • Cancellations after this time can’t be refunded

We’re also unable to give refunds if:

  • Items aren’t left at the correct collection point
  • Items aren’t safe to collect
  • Items have already been removed
