Young People's Support (NEET)

In Blaenau Gwent there are a number of services that offer support for young people aged 11-25 who at risk of becoming or are currently not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET).

0-10s

Support for this age group can be accessed through Early Years, Families First, Education Welfare Service and Education Inclusion.

11-16s

A wide range of support is available for this age group which can include one to one support and group work, in or out of schools, daytime, evenings or holiday periods and during times of change.

16-25s

There is also support available for this age group both on a one to one or group basis.  Young people can get help to remain in or enter further education, employment or training.  Extra support is also available to help young people who are not ‘work ready’ or have barriers they need to overcome.
