Grants to Organisations

There are two types of grants available to organisations:

  • Members Special Levy
  • Welsh Church Grants

Members Special Levy

Members Special Levy Grants are available from Elected Member’s and are available to individuals and voluntary, community and charitable organisations.  Please contact your local member if you wish to apply for a grant.

Welsh Church Grants

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council receives an annual allocation which can be awarded to help towards the advancement of:

  • Education and Religion
  • The relief of poverty
  • Art, libraries and museums
  • Other purposes beneficial to the community, as defined by the Welsh Church Fund

What level of grant is available?

There is no maximum grant limit but awards are generally within the range £100 - £500.

How often are applications considered?

Applications are considered once a year (closing date 31st August), you may only make one application each financial year.
